Chris has a strong software engineering background which pushes him toward pragmatically architecting software solutions which are efficient and scalable. He has worked in countless programming langauges and development environments, and has found that success is usually determined more by software engineering practices than implementation details. He uses this experience and knowledge of best practices to deliver quality software.
Before joining Coffee and Code, Chris was the lead technical lead at OnShift in Cleveland. As a servant leader he drove the adoption of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices. He also reset the company's mobile technology strategy to align with its business goals and to be more responisve to change. Prior to that Chris served as the technical services manager for the City of Barberton as they moved to a multi-community shared services model, and he worked for many years as a software engineer at a major multi-national company.
When he doesn't have a computer in front of him, Chris likes to get outdoors. He can be found hiking, biking, backpacking, or rock climbing with his wife, sons, and dog.
